Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Deedroll when you use the service.

The service

Deedroll is a record-keeping tool for rental property owners. It stores what you enter and computes figures such as equity, cash flow and estimated interest from it. It is not financial, tax or legal advice, and the figures it computes are only as good as what you enter.

Your account

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done under your account. Tell us at once if you believe it has been compromised.

Your content

You own what you enter and upload. You grant us the right to store and process it only to provide the service to you. You must have the right to upload what you upload, including any information about tenants.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to store content you have no right to store, or to interfere with the service or other people’s use of it.

Fees

Up to two rental units is free. Larger portfolios need a paid plan, billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe, in US dollars, plus any applicable tax. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from Settings; a cancelled plan runs to the end of the period already paid for. If a payment fails or a plan lapses, your account returns to the free plan: you keep every record and can still edit it, but cannot add rental units beyond the free limit. We will give at least 30 days’ notice of a price change, which applies from your next renewal.

Closing your account

You can close your account at any time from Settings; your data is deleted within 30 days. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, with notice where practical.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada.
